Kara received her undergraduate degree in Anthropology from Centre College in Danville, Kentucky. She obtained her J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2016. While a law student, Kara served as an editor for the Kentucky Journal of Equine, Agriculture & Natural Resource Law, as well as the Student Body Association President during her third year. At graduation, she received the College of Law Pro Bono Award in recognition of completing 50 hours of law-related public service during law school. After graduating from law school, Kara clerked for Judge Ernesto Scorsone in the Fayette Circuit Court. Kara joined PPOA in 2018 where she practices civil litigation defense.
Kara is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association, the Fayette County Bar Association, and the Young Lawyer’s Association. She is admitted to practice in all Courts in the Commonwealth of Kentucky as well as the United States District Courts for the Easter and Westerns Districts of Kentucky.
In her free time, Kara enjoys cycling, running, exploring Lexington, and traveling with her husband.
