Jake is a longtime Kentucky native, born and raised in Brandenburg. He graduated cum laud from the University of Kentucky Lewis Honors College in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in English. While at UK, he was a member of the Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity, and was selected as part of the University’s inaugural congressional internship program in Washington, DC.

He later earned his law degree from Indiana University Maurer School of Law, graduating cum laud. While in law school, Jake was a proud member of the Indiana Journal of Law and Social Equality, where he worked as an associate and Article Editor. He also was an avid competitor in Maurer’s Moot Court Competition, where he was awarded honors for his brief writing, and later went on to compete in the American Bar Association National Moot Court Competition in Oklahoma City. He took a strong interest in the school’s civil litigation offerings, and also volunteered in Maurer’s Outreach for Legal Literacy program, a pro bono clinic aimed at educating local youth on the civil process and America’s legal institution. He began as a summer law clerk at PPOA in both 2021 and 2022, and joined the firm following his graduation in 2023.

In his spare time, Jake enjoys tennis, piano, film, and spending time with his friends and family. He enjoys his residence in Louisville where he lives with his wife and pets.
