Jake is a longtime Kentucky native, born and raised in Brandenburg. He graduated cum laud from the University of Kentucky Lewis Honors College in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in English. While at UK, he was a member of the Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity, and was selected as part of the University’s inaugural congressional internship program in Washington, DC.
He later earned his law degree from Indiana University Maurer School of Law, graduating cum laud. He took a strong interest in the school’s civil litigation offerings, and also volunteered in Maurer’s Outreach for Legal Literacy program, a pro bono clinic aimed at educating local youth on the civil process and America’s legal institution. He began as a summer law clerk at PPOA in both 2021 and 2022, and joined the firm following his graduation in 2023.
